Wow, Lee is so totally naked in Nature Boy
. There are shots of him swimming naked, underwater naked, coming out of the sea naked, sitting naked, having sex naked, covered in dirt naked, crowdsurfing (ok not exactly but you will see what I mean when you see the film) naked -- naked naked naked. The boy hardly wears clothing! ;)
The film is very long, shown in 4 parts. The first part sets everything up where Lee's character David is "in care" (foster care) because his mum's a druggie and his dad abandoned him. He's a sweet, sensitive soul who loves animals and who is pretty much bullied and abused by classmates etc. The second part starts his journey to find his father and on the way ends up sleeping with some guy's wife. The third part has him meeting up with a girl who's very into the environment, and the last part is him actually finding his father and tying up all the loose ends.
That's the bare bones version of it, anyway. It's 3 hours and 49 minutes long. Very sad and moving, and Lee is really wonderful in the role. Considering the challenging scenes he has to do: aside from all the nudity and sex, he has a lot of running and climbing and swimming and crying and such, too. He even carries Paul McGann a couple of times, strong, strapping lad that he is, our Lee.
Now that I own Nature Boy, I just need to make a couple of copies for friends who are also Lee fans.
I rented Cadfael The Pilgrim of Hate from Netflix and Lee was very good in that, as well. He played a cripple named Walter who is on a pilgrimage to the monastery with his sister and they get stuck there when a body is found and investigation ensues.

It's like Lee Ingleby day at my house! First, Master and Commander
was on HBO twice. Then, they played the Making of featurette
which is 30 minutes long and includes Lee talking a bit. Then, I got Nature Bo
y in the mail! (Now I must get it converted so i can actually watch it;) And if that weren't enough, Borstal Boy
was on and I recorded that, too! (Boy he was a meanie in it!)
It's been a wonderful Lee Ingelby day! Current Mood: cheerful

Lee in M&C Making of book
Has anyone seen the Making of M&C book? I was in B&N yesterday browsing through it and they have a few nice photos of Lee, as well as a small interview. He talked about Mr. Hollom being too poor for a new uniform and how he is growing out of it and it's too tight. They had a full body picture which shows how his trousers do hover a few inches over his ankles, and I hadn't noticed that before.
Also, there was a lovely picture of Lee in profile as Mr. Hollom strumming a guitar. Does anyone have that photo?
I'm still awaiting my copy of Nature Boy, and I will let you know when I finally have it converted so those of us in the USA can watch it:) Current Mood: content

Wow! Its kinda quiet around here. So....
OOh! OOH! I went to L.A. over the weekend, and my dad and I took a tour of the WB studios, and upstairs was a HUGE Harry Potter exhibit, and they had various costumes. They had Lee's!! I was jumping up and down so hard, my dad was getting embarrassed. But, alas, there were no cameras allowed, so I couldnt get a picture of it, drat!
Anyways, that was a long message and wont keep you lingering.

My friend was working at Fox Studios Baja post M&C. He took this picture in a dressing room at the facility. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v455/ladyravenwood/Baja2003_0926_092051AA.jpg
He also had some wonderful pictures of the Acheron. Especially the ones from the deck.
The best surprise was when he handed me a belaying pin that came from the Acheron. Apparently, he was given license to take whatever he wanted from the ship. And all he grabbed was a belaying pin!! I would have taken the whole damn thing!!

I first discovered Lee in MAster and Commander. I liked him and felt sorry for his character, so I automatically fell in love with him. Then I found out he was in Ever After and watched that (now own it!!)!! When I told that to the EVER AFTER community, and stated that my favorite charactr was Gustave (Lee) they shunned me...lol MandCPhreak!!
